How To Pick A Non Commission Based HVAC Repair Company

Periodic inspection, lubrication, adjustments , safety testing and cleaning of your heating and cooling system keeps it running at peak, trouble-free efficiency. Finding the best heating and air conditioning  company can be a tough and confusing task. Many are more interested in marketing high profit services or new units than fixing a problem.

It is not easy to know if the  San Antonio air conditioning repair service company you called is in in business to help the customer by getting the most out of existing  equipment or take advantage of the situation by hard selling extra equipment or new units  that may not be needed.

Always check with friends and family   to see what experience they have had with Air Conditioning Repair companies. Second  take a look at your local better business bureau may be helpful to avoid those with serious  customer complaint  problems. Of course the BBB is a private company in the business of selling expensive memberships to local business owners. Usually smaller  air conditioning service companies can’t afford the high  per year fee so don’t expect all A/C companies  to be a member. Of course even non members who receive complaints will be listed in the BBB database.

What I suggest  is to search for is a company  that does not pay commissions to their service people. This is an incentive used to increase the price and profit margin. Many only  care about extra sales and repair is almost an second thought. While none will advertise that they pay commissions it is common for larger companies with massive service fleets. This makes it easier to to afford since each service person is responsible to sell enough to pay their personal salary plus additional profit for the company.

Smaller A/C companies can take advantage of low overhead ï»¿ and offer free estimates or low cost service calls without high pressure selling. They can profit from staple repairs because they don’t have a large staff, office and managers to pay.

I would also ask for proof of insurance. Any quality service company will have available a copy of their policy which will protect you in case of injury or property damage. Yes, an uninsured person working on your property can sue you if they get injured. This is a serious matter and should be on top of your list. Feel free to call the insurance company to verify that the coverage is still in place.
